After our Portland family/hotel/swimming pool weekend was 'snow stormed out' by Blizzard Nemo, we met in Portland at Flatbread on the Sunday of that weekend and enjoyed a meal together.
The restaurant people wisely found us a corner where we could gather and be ourselves and not have to be sitting quietly... it was just GREAT! Very exciting and fun... and a big effort for all as we had to get dug out and cleaned up from the storm that was the Fri and Sat before this. Portland had very limited parking due to all the snow and lots going on in the city that day, but the Parker and Rush families were able to go to the Children's Museum after lunch. Dan and Rachael and John and I did a little walk about the city and shared hot cocoa together before we all headed back home. We all made the very best of our time together!
Here Maeve is talking over the menu with her Uncle Ryan- this is one picture where she is not on the move.
Gramp, Emily, Martin, Lizzie, Kate and Maeve (on the move!)
Lizzie is very excited and happy! Don't we all just love a party!
This is how you show how much when you are four!
The waiter even juggled lemons just for her! Wish I had thought to get a picture of that!

Rachael and Dan and Maeve... can you see her love for them in her darling face?
She is so excited to see them!

Martin and the 'Ruby' 40th Anniversary gift basket! This beautiful basket is filled with 'Ruby' things (Ruby Red Grapefruit, Rudy wine, Ruby hand cream, Ruby grass seeds, Ruby music and DVD... etc.); and with cards of memories from family and dear friends... so caring and loving... brought tears of happiness.. what a very thoughtful gift! Just the best anniversary ever! (Isn't Martin adorable? Such a dear one)
The best gift of all is the time together... taking the time when life is so busy, making it possible even when a blizzard got in the way. My life could not be more complete nor my heart more full... we are so blessed. Thank you all!
