I think this picture of Maeve captures the essence of the words happiness and glee as Grampy gives her a wagon ride on a warmish late November day.
Tree sales began the day after Thanksgiving.
Here Dan has helped someone cut and load a huge tree.

We took a break for family pictures.

Beautiful late fall sunrise.
Maeve plays with the beads.

As the holiday season approaches, the weaths get decorated... Lizzie helped this year!
Maeve just woke up and has 'bed head'... just like her mother use to when she was a little girl.
I am bringing summer inside for the winter- nice to have a bit of color in November!

winter window boxes
Brussel Sprouts... amazing crop this year!
Kate and John decorating for the holiday... This old apple tree is almost entirely dead now, but we have enjoyed it for all the 35 + years that we have lived here, so we decided to decorate it before cutting it down next summer.  We have had turkeys roosting in it, bluebirds nesting in it, deer enjoying the drops, shade, apple pie and sauce from it... thank you dear old tree.

Emily's birthday supper
Lizzie is very excited!
The mild weather this fall continues to confuse the forsythia bushes... the colors on this bush are amazing- leaves with shades from green to red, purple and yellow blossoms!
